Welcome to In the Loop!
This blog is the brainchild of Louise Aquino (ah-KWEE-noh). A faithful diarist in her youth, she’s now an on-and-off writer in her twenties, with dreams of making it big one day! She may have left school a while ago but learning never stopped for Louise. Whether it’s shadowing her mum in the kitchen or taking up Spanish just for the heck of it that’s without any travel plans to Spain either, Louise loves to share notes on her daily exploits. The trouble is in finding people to listen to them!
As such, In the Loop is her space to flex her writing muscles, while giving her thoughts on matters closest to the heart.
Rapid Fire Round Questions 🔥
- Where are you from and where are you based?
Born and raised in London, in jolly old England, I went to uni in the city too. But my family is originally from Myanmar (Burma). I was living in Seoul, South Korea during the pandemic (2020-22), but have since returned home. Hope to be abroad again soon though! - What languages do you speak?
English is my first language, Burmese I’m pretty fluent, but don’t ask me to read or write! I’m comfortable with Korean and French too (in that order). Studied German for A-level, but I’m much better with the other Romance languages I’m learning at present: Spanish and Italian. Also picking up Cantonese on the side… to varying degrees of success! - Any guilty pleasures to divulge?
Basic but true, I do love a sleazy true crime doc or drama adaptation! Most recently, I watched ‘Welcome to Chippendales’. Generally speaking, any historical drama or biopic will scratch the itch. - What’s your favourite meal of the day?
Dinner. But I won’t refrain from eating breakfast food at dinnertime though! - Finally… what is your lifetime goal?
More than anything, I would love to write and publish a novel. There’s no draft yet, but definitely a few original ideas knocking about in the old noggin.
